| Paper
or Synthetic Stock
One
of the first decisions to make for any tag or label is will it be
on paper or a synthetic stock. Generally paper is best for indoor
applications and synthetic is best for outdoor, high heat, or very
demanding applications. Either stock is available in coated and
uncoated versions.
Badger has the capability to slit our own roll stock and tint as
specific colors are needed. This means we can buy in larger stock
quantities and pass along those cost efficiencies.

When choosing the stock to print on, we offer a large variety of
standard colors. You do have the opportunity to specify virtually
any color stock and we will source or tint it for you.
Ink
When it comes to ink colors, we can print from one
to seven spot colors or four-color process. Whether you need to
print only one side, both sides, or multiple pieces like on manifold
tags, we can work through the details.
Sizes Whether your application demands one of our standard size
tags, or you need a custom size, we can handle your request.

For labels you can specify from our wide range of standard dies
or we will create a custom die for your application.
When providing artwork, please forward a PDF file as well as the native file. Vector art created in Adobe Illustrator® is preferred. Our pricing reflects that you provide camera-ready artwork; or we are able to create art per your instructions at a cost of $65.00 per hour.
We recommend the use of desktop publishing software such as Adobe Illustrator®, InDesign® and Quark XPress®. We have limited support for programs such as MS Publisher®, MS Word® and MS Excel®. These and other non-desktop publishing file types will incur additional charges to process.
Cad or Solidworks® files must be provided as dxf files and these may also require additional charges to process.
If your art files are too large to send via e-mail, we have an FTP site for uploading of larger electronic files. Please contact our office for that log in information.
If you have a question regarding artwork, please contact Tom in the prepress department at ext.19.
