Badger-Tuff™ Combination Tag and Label
Allows Complete Versatility

Random Lake, WI -- Badger Tag & Label Corporation has developed a combination tag and label that uses their innovative Badger-Tuff stock. This allows companies the versatile uses of a separate tag and label but at a cost savings since it's one piece. The additional benefit of this tag/label is that it can be printed on using a thermal transfer method.

Badger began development of this tag/label when approached by one of their clients, Howard Precision Metals Inc. Howard needed a pressure-sensitive label to adhere directly to their finished products but also needed to run a steel band through a tag either on one end and attach it to products or through both ends and attach it to loads. Their cooperative efforts resulted in a tag/label combination that addressed all the issues and has proven successful in all applications.

Badger-Tuff, as a stock, exceeds the requirements of the most demanding applications. It is UV stabilized, waterproof and chemical resistant, withstands temperatures from 220° F to -70° F, and is puncture and tear resistant. Badger can print on the stock in up to four colors. The options to diecut, score and perforate and add glue to be self-adhesive as a label application make Badger-Tuff one of the most versatile stocks.

Howard, as part of the steel industry, is just one example of good applications for the Badger-Tuff tag/label combination. Diecasting, stamping, and metal fabrication are other industries that could use this type of tag/label. And, with a variety of features to specify including wiring, stringing/looping, lamination or self-lamination, reinforced holes, diecutting, scoring, perforation, and numbering, Badger is capable of developing custom tags and labels that address virtually any application.

Badger Tag & Label Corporation has developed a combination tag and label that uses their innovative Badger-Tuff stock."Badger welcomes the kind of challenge that Howard brought to us," says Dick Thiel, Vice President of Badger Tag & Label. "It's through businesses working together that new product developments take shape that can benefit other companies as well."
