Synthetic Tags and Labels are the Solution
for the Most Demanding Applications

Random Lake, WI -- Badger Tag & Label Corporation developed a proprietary synthetic stock and prints custom tags and labels on it as well as on a range of other synthetics. These stocks have characteristics that make them the best solution for the most demanding applications.

“Companies that use pressure-sensitive paper labels and steel or metal tags can benefit from the features synthetic stocks offer and can usually save money when compared to these traditional types,” says Dale (DJ) Jacoby, Vice President/General Manager at Badger. “Synthetic stocks are also more environmentally friendly because they are not made from tree pulp and they are recyclable.”

For tags and labels that must withstand the most rigorous as well as a variety of conditions, synthetic is the answer. Synthetic stocks are UV stabilized so fading isn’t a factor. The waterproof, chemical and tear resistant qualities mean they can go through manufacturing processes and remain intact through their final destination. The ability to fold without cracking and puncture resistance also makes tags and labels on synthetic stocks more resilient. These stocks can go through temperature ranges from 220˚ F to -70˚ F which makes tags and labels printed on them ideal for industrial settings. Many synthetic stocks are available either coated or uncoated and can be printed with additional information using dot-matrix and thermal methods.

“While the majority of companies we work with want a preprinted custom tag or label for a specific use,” says Jacoby, “we also die cut custom shapes and sizes of blank synthetic stock.”

Examples of industries and products that use tags on synthetic stocks are tree farms and nurseries, membership cards, sewn in as product information on consumer products, steel and related roll products, and sling tags. Labels on synthetic stocks are used on containers for gasoline and other chemicals, consumer and industrial products including food, and as warning labels.
